Winter News from KGV

We're half way through winter and just over 15 weeks away from the start of season 2009/10. It may sound a long time away but there is no doubt time will fly and round one will be here before we know it.

Training has started at Glenn Hughes' premium training facilities at the TCA and the first session attracted around 25 players including 3 or 4 guys returning to the club which is great to see.

President Brett Smith's 'Biggest Loser' fundraiser is well underway and already the not so big man has shed over 29kg's and is looking to get rid of many more before the October 31st cut-off date.

Congratulations must go to Brett Geeves who is currently starring for Australia A in the series against Pakistan A in Queensland. In three one-dayers and a Twenty20 game so far he has taken 10 wickets. Congrats also to Luke Butterworth who didn't play but was sent up to be part of the Aus A squad in Queensland. Well done to both players.
