After losing the 1st day of play against Kingborough both teams were keen to get a result on the second day. The day began on a high for the Pies with the cap presentation to new boys Matthew Hamilton and Pravish Prakash.

Kingborough batted first and declared at 9 for 198. Mark Divin was the only batter to get on top of our attack. Trent (Dicky Knee) Le rossignol was excellent with the new ball and Westy showed he is developing his old ball skills with a good spell.

The shock of the day came in Nathan Butterworth’s 1st over. The ball was hitting the cut surface! He cashed in on this good luck and went on to bowl along spell with 4 poles.

In the field the Hamo and Prav showed enthusiasm (and nerves). The backstop Nathan (Boral) Philip held 3 catches and (shock horror) Penny held the vital catch off Divin in the deep.

With the bat the Generator aka Liam Reynolds looked good south of Oatlands for the first time. It then hosed down at tea and the game was washed out with the Pies 0-29 in reply.
