The day started with North Hobart batting and Tim Faltusz and Ben Button opening the bowling, Ben havin a good opening spell picking up two poles. Our export player Greg Faltusz playing is his last game for the year and Koushik (spin King) Kannan were on as first change with K.K bowling a miserly spell only conceding 34 and taking two on the small ground clean bowling a bamboozled batsman and taking a caught and bowled, after havin north 6-70 they steadied a bit and the boys kept their spirit up as we toiled away in the heat, the last overs came and it became a slog fest with the ball being retrieved form over the ropes on a number of occasions and from the river after a barker deliver, Benny (princess) Button taking another 2 in the last overs north ending up with 307.
Our innings started after stebbo gave us our pep talk telling us to play straight and stick around and build partnerships. Corey (fatty) Whitbread and Prav opened the bat with the partnership starting well till corey gave gully some catching practice ending his time at the crease, enter S. Stebbings to steady the ship, cracking a great pull shot to the boundary to get off the mark and many more to come, Pravish finish on 31 after he lost his leg stump.
Chris Barker coming in at four himself and Stebbo putting on a brilliant partnership of 112 Barker hit 3 sixes, Willy G and M HAMILTON the next to fall after small scores of 13 and 16 with Koushik coming in to finish the match off. Stebbo hitting a 6 to bring up his 150 and get the winning runs himself finishing on 151 n.o a great knock from the captain and Koushik also finishing with red ink.
