Geeves named for Australia Twenty20 game

Glenorchy speedster Brett Geeves will play for Australia in a Twenty20 match against a composite All-Star team to launch the Australian International season at the Gabba on friday night.

Brett's inclusion follows a strong start to the domestic season for him, where he is sitting third in the Sheffield Shield wicket- takers list. He is also second in the Ford Ranger Cup wicket- taker list.

It will be his second taste of playing for Australia following the top-end one day international series against Bangladesh in August where he played in the first game, taking figures of 2/ 11 off 5 overs.

It could be just the beginning of regular Australian duties for Brett, with the Australian Test team coming off a series loss in India and also going through player transistional period, our Brett could be in the right spot at the right time.

We wish Brett all the best for Friday night and hope he smashes them!
